Thanksgiving

Today I was feeling worn out and was thinking only negative thoughts while I was on the metro riding to have dinner with a good friend. Hello! Dinner and great conversation with a dear friend only a few metro stops away and I don't even have to use a car!?!? Where did all of my gratefulness go besides out the car window? Then, while I was noticing all of the people trying to ignore all of the people, I also noticed an important looking lady and her dear friend: her dog. I couldn't help but watch this lady get around by being guided by a dog and her sense of sound and feeling. I mean, I freak out if I think I have misplaced my iphone for one second and wonder how I would get around this new big city without it. No one else seemed to notice that this lady was unique at all, and perhaps that shows we are finally evolving as accepting human beings, but she stood out to me in the brightest way. When I decided that I finally couldn't be bothered with all of the noise of the train, I began to dig in my purse for my headphones. I finally gave up, looked across the isle at the lady and saw that she was unwinding hers and sticking them in her ears. For a brief second, I consider going over and asking her for a few tips on how to keep it all together: my life and my purse!
